I have had this Canadian Parachute Wing but am not quite sure as to what period this dates from. I have shown it to different people, who all had different opinions. Camps are divided into later 1944/45 and early post war. One thing is for sure, I don't know which it is. If any one could help, I would be most grateful.

Nice wings Wouter! I was always under the assumption that the oyster colored wings with the yellow maple leaf were WWII era. You know what they say about assuming things though.

Hi Wouter, This question about dating Canadian para wings is a common one, but very difficult to answer. I have looked at literally hundreds of wings over the last 30 years, and I still have problems with date. I have not seen the documentation that conclusively supports dividing the issues into different runs and thus different time periods. Ken Joyces' Into the Maelstrom has perhaps the best guidelines for determining age.
