    Parachute Wings Empty Parachute Wings

These wings were given to me by the Base Petawawa tailor shop in 1986 and had been removed from one Parachute Smock.

    Hey Ed,

That is a nice set of wings.  All in very good shape.

If you are looking for Ident, from top to bottom--late model Canadian para qual, jump status (you can tell time by the sharpness of the feathers and the shape of the Maple leaf, earlier leafs looked more like the leaf on the metal wings); US Army para qual basic, subdued (normally worn on the right breast above the pocket in honour of the connection to the FSSF); British Army para qual; and German Army para qual, Class III (Bronze).

Trooper who owned the Jump Smock that these came off of did exchange jumps with the Airborne Forces of the other countries and earned those wings.  Foreign troops have done the same here in Canada and received their Canadian wings.
