Oh wow, and somebody bid too. Odd that the arms just happen to cover whatever mischief occurred around the collar...unless it an untampered with 1950's era one. Where do you figure the makers stamp came from? New made? Will we be seeing a bunch of these battledress on the market now?

Ah yes, I believe it is. I didn't click on that pick once I saw the ripped pocket and just assumed a stamp. Must be a war effort thing...hand sketched markings to preserve rubber stamps I guess. Soooper rare.

Odd patch combination here ….. Unusual to see the GS patch on a uniform from an overseas vet? The div patches and shoulder titles seem really crisp compared to the service stripes that seem more worn. Not saying the tunic wasn't found that way …. just something not for me.
