    Oversize avatars Empty Oversize avatars

Post by Infanteer Mon Mar 25, 2013 7:27 pm

There are some members who have oversize avatars that spill onto the text and photo portion of the page which makes reading the text difficult. Is there any way that these members can modify their avatars to a more appropriate size? Is it simply a matter of resizing the original photo?

    Hey Steve,
I also find it irritating. I have looked in the admin panel, there are size restrictions on the avatars in place, perhaps they are not functioning properly. Dale would have to send an email and try and sort that one out.
The other option is for those members with overly large avatars to resize them and then reload them to the forum.
Perhaps, Perth Regiment(MG) could try it out and let us know if it works.
I will link him to this thread and see what we can work out.

Took me 30 secs to resize...easy. He can either copy this one or resize himself and change it.

I checked his original avatar pic was exactly what the forum requirements are. 300 x300 pixels, 46 kb. So its the forum not displaying it properly.
I just resized it and uploaded it to his profile, so we'll see if it changed.

Its better but still not small enough. There's also a problem with his signature line, its way up top on his posts instead of at the bottom.
Its just the new members that have the larger avatars despite meeting the forums requirements. We can have them go back and resize their pics but that will only solve the problem for now........until more new members join.

I would sure like a solution. I changed my avatar and it is doing the same thing, even after I shrunk the original image.

My latest Avatar is set to 180X200 pixels and is 5.79KB. seems ok now. Certainly is a far cry from the stated maximum dimensions.

It is about darn time you squared your avatar away John. So how is life treating you at 202 now we are all gone?

Hi ya Cliff. Things are going well at 202. We are going through all your parts and squaring them away, all filters, engine parts, chassis, electrical, etc... batched together, cataloged and tagged. We have filled the 2 big grey parts lockers already and we are not even 1/2 way through. Looks like its going to take a while to go through all of them. I went by Prefair and scored some items. Will post them in the found forum. Cheers! Wink

Have fun with those pars. LOL. Have you guys separated all the civilian pattern parts that were received? I have no idea how many tail lights we got, something like 50 at least. All need to be returned for credit.

That whole project needs to be re-scaled correctly and the correct parts ordered. I mean how the heck is it possible that even in AFG we were unable to get the correct brake chamber? Just ridiculous.
