My small collection of legion pins from branches that I was registered with over the years. I'm still with the Olds Legion presently.

I have a couple that I picked up in my travels and I am actually a member of the Trafalgar/Pro Patria Branch #292 in Victoria.

I have always liked the Wife's souvenier #2 Branch Lahr Germany pin (1 1/2 long!) and the other was a Legion initiative last year or the one before I think.

The bottom one was made for the passing of John Babcock, which symbolizes Babcock handing the torch to the younger generation, for them to 'hold it high' and remember. Lest we forget.

    Hi Wouter

Thanks for that. You are correct but I think it's to symbolize ALL WW1 veteran's. John Babcock was the final Cdn WW1 vet and his passing marked the last of them.

    From a Legion blurb:

The end of an era commemorative pin
The Supply Department is pleased to introduce a lapel
pin dedicated to the preservation of the memory of the
Veterans of the First World War. It is composed of a wreath
of maple leaves embracing the torch of Remembrance
being passed from one generation to the next, graced with
a scroll announcing “Memoriam Eorum Retinebimus” – We
Will Remember Them. Our commitment to quality in our
lapel pins continues in this beautifully struck and enamelled
pin. We encourage you to wear this pin as recognition of
the accomplishments of the Veterans of the First World War,
and as a commitment that their memory will not fade.
